Laura

Laura grew up in the Sioux City area and graduated from Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School in 1997.  She attended the University of South Dakota, receiving a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2004.  Upon graduation she worked in Watertown, SD for a year before deciding to move back to Siouxland. 

Laura joined the Wheelock and Bursick team in July 2005.  Laura has three beautiful children, two sons, Alex and Kasey, and a daughter, Ella.  She enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.

Emily

Emily grew up in Moville, IA.  She graduated from Woodbury Central High School in 2004.  She then attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls majoring in Health Promotion before being accepted into the Dental Hygiene program at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo.  In 2008 she graduated with an AAS in Dental Hygiene.

She then worked as a dental hygienist in Iowa City for one year before moving back to her hometown in August of 2009.  She joined the Wheelock, Bursick and Giese team  in November of 2009.  She enjoyed volunteering at the Special Olympics, Best Buddies program, and Iowa Mission of Mercy.

Emily also enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, reading, playing with her dog, Scooter, and cheering for the Hawkeyes and the Chicago Cubs.

Julie

Julie is a lifelong resident of Sioux City. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1996. She then received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Briar Cliff College. After that, she attended the University of South Dakota where she received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene.

Julie has also received training in laser periodontal therapy and continues to stay up to date on current hygiene issues.

Julie joined Dr. Wheelock and Bursick’s team in June 2002. She and her husband, Marty, have a little boy Carter. Julie enjoys exercising, boating, scrapbooking and spending time at The Lakes.

Alisha

Alisha was born in Sioux City and raised on a farm outside of Kingsley. She graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School in 1997. She pursued her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of South Dakota where she graduated with her Dental Hygiene degree in 2000 and BS in 2001.

Alisha joined Dr. Wheelock and Dr. Bursick’s team in February 2004. She was married in July 2005 to Matthew and they live on a century farm outside of Westfield. They were blessed with a son, Brody, in March 2007 and a daughter, Morgan, in December 2009. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping and gardening.  

Teri

Teri was born in Sioux City and graduated from East High School. In 1999, she moved to Des Moines, where she attended Des Moines Area Community College. She graduated in 2000 from the Dental Assisting Program and again in 2003 from the Dental Hygiene Program.

Teri worked in Des Moines for several years before returning to Sioux City. She and her husband, John, have a daughter, Isabella, and a son, Frankie. Teri enjoys walking, scrap booking, and spending time with family, friends, and dog Jiggzy.
