Kim
Kim is a lifelong Siouxland resident. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1985. She then attended the Western Iowa Tech Dental Assisting program and upon graduation in 1986 began working with Dr. Wheelock.
Since getting her certification in 1986 Kim has gotten her Dental Assisting Registration in 2001, became an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in 2006 and most recently became 1 of 7 Dental Assistants in the country to be certified in Cerec Design. Kim has also served on the WITCC Dental Assisting Advisory Committee since 1990. Kim currently lives on Sioux City’s north side with her companion, Jeff. Together they have two daughters, Kristi and Aleah, and in 2008 were blessed with a grandson, Brayden.
In her time away from the office Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and attending any football game played by Nebraska (GO BIG RED), Morningside or the Bandits. She also loves reading by her pool (weather permitting) and driving around town singing in her 1979 little red Corvette!!

Tracy
Tracy was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa and is a 1988 graduate of Bishop Heelan High School. She attended Western Iowa Tech and graduated in 1993 from the Dental Assisting program, receiving her CDA. In 2001 she received her Registered Dental Assistant certificate, and then went on to receive her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification in 2006. Tracy has most recently received her CEREC design certification in 2009.
Tracy began working for Dr. Douglas Wheelock in 2005 and loves learning new technology and advancing her dental training with her partner in crime, Kim. Tracy married her husband, Andy, in 2000 and together they raise their son, Vinney, born in 2003. She enjoys golfing, fantasy football, scrap booking, camping and traveling with friends and family.

Kristy
Kristy grew up in Correctionville, Iowa and graduated from high school in 1968. She continued her education at Western Iowa Tech Practical Nursing School. She married her husband, Chuck, in 1970 and followed him in his military career. Kristy joined the Army herself in 1974. She completed the Dental Specialist Basic Course at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Though her military career was only three years, she continued to work as a Dental Assistant at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. In 1998, Kristy and her family moved back to Iowa; she and Chuck now live just outside of Moville, Iowa. Upon moving back to the area Kristy joined Wheelock and Bursick Dentistry as Dr. Bursick’s assistant.
Kristy has two children, Michelle and Ray. Michelle has blessed her with two wonderful grandchildren, Austin and Madison.

Wendy
Wendy is a lifelong resident of Siouxland. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1985. She then attended the Western Iowa Tech Dental Assisting Program. Upon graduating in 1986, she received her certificate for the Dental Assisting National Board. In 2001 She received her Registered Dental Assisting Certificate from the State of Iowa. She also became an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in 2006 and has taken additional training for Invisalign and Cerec. Wendy joined Dr. Bursick in 2003.
Wendy lives in Morningside with her husband, Bob whom she married in 1992. They have a son Sean and a daughter Erin. She enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with her family.

Crystal
Crystal was born in Sioux City and graduated from East High in 2002. She attended the Dental Assisting program at Western Iowa Tech, graduating with Honors in 2008. In March 2010, Crystal completed the Expanded Functions class for dental assistants.
Crystal lives in Morningside with her significant other, Seth, her one year old son, Payton, and three dogs. When she is away from the from the office she enjoys spending time with her family, playing softball and canoeing.

Samantha
Samantha grew up in Broken Bow, NE and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 2007. She then attended Southeast Community College in Lincoln, NE and graduated from the Dental Assisting Program in 2009 with Honors. She also worked part-time for Dr. Lewis as a receptionist while attending college. After graduation, Samantha continued to work for Dr. Lewis as a chair side dental assistant until moving to Sioux City in the spring of 2010.
When she’s not at the office, Samantha is usually spending time with her boyfriend, K.C. and his family, and his black lab, Elway. She also enjoys training horses, being outside, playing sand volleyball, and supporting the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
